Mineral Processing Space Station

This is a project I've picked away at in my spare time after work. I went down a rabbit hole once pretty far.. and found out about Paul Pepera, and Connor McCampbell, became super inspired like the many before me, and wanted to do a space station environment from scratch from the ground up. Everything is designed, modelled, textured, crafted by me, excluding the humanoids. Wireframe and detailed lighting are in the video.

I wanted to nail the awe inspiring feeling I got from Paul and Connor's work. I hope I did it justice! There are other influences in here that leaked in perhaps unknowingly in some ways. Half-life, Unreal Tournament and Freelancer were huge on my art tastes from growing up with those titles. There is something amazing about a scene that reminds you how small we are, and how much bigger other things are in the universe. These types of environments always seem to captivate me, and this is me giving a bit of that back!
